Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician in Lenexa, KS. The role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining various doors, docks, and related hardware at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, meet safety standards, and deliver quality workmanship.

We offer overtime opportunities, a sign-on bonus up to $3,500, and a company vehicle with field support. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of door-industry experience and AAADM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers and teams.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door-related issues and perform repairs with high workmanship standards.
• Install door hardware, locks, closers, and access control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and company quality standards.
• Provide clear explanations to customers and document service visits.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
