Job summary

Regions Financial Corporation is seeking a Group Manager for Commercial Credit Services to lead underwriting and risk management across business banking and middle market credit requests. You will enforce policies, drive KPI performance, and coordinate with Credit Review, Risk Management, and Audit functions.

You will mentor regional managers, shape talent development, and uphold prudent risk standards for new and renewing loans while collaborating with senior leadership and client coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fifteen years of banking/credit experience and six years of managerial experience.
• Completion of a major corporate credit training program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting teams ensuring alignment with risk management objectives.
• Enforce policies, processes, and tools for consistent credit underwriting.
• Manage regional team managers and associates in underwriting and portfolio management.
• Champion talent development and training to maintain a skilled workforce.
• Build relationships with credit officers, client coverage, and HR.
• Ensure loans/renewals meet prudent risk standards and policies.
• Lead risk management initiatives for the underwriting team.
