Job summary

BNC National Bank is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Administration team in North Dakota. This is a senior-level role focusing on the technical side of commercial credit analysis and underwriting, with mentoring and development responsibilities for other credit professionals.

You will perform complex credit analysis, review borrower financials, and prepare comprehensive memorandums to support risk-based lending decisions.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience.
• Experience in commercial real estate, C&I, and SBA lending.
• Mentoring or training experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex commercial credit analysis and underwriting
• Analyze borrower financials, cash flow, collateral, repayment capacity, and overall credit risk
• Prepare and present comprehensive credit memorandums
• Make recommendations regarding risk ratings, loan structure, covenants, collateral, and risk mitigation
• Support complex and higher-risk commercial transactions
• Mentor and coach members of the underwriting team
• Serve as a resource for credit policy, underwriting practices, and complex transactions
• Contribute to process improvement and the continued development of our Credit function
