Job summary

Provident Bank, a leading New Jersey financial institution, seeks a Credit Analyst IV – C&I to analyze and structure complex commercial credits with executive-level authority. You will mentor junior staff and lead high-exposure transactions in collaboration with Commercial Loan Officers.

The role requires deep credit knowledge, regulatory awareness, and strong communication for internal and external stakeholders. On-site in Morristown, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Formal credit training or higher banking education (e.g. Graduate School of Banking, Stonier).
• 7+ years in Commercial Banking.
• Thorough knowledge of underwriting, credit analysis, loan structure, and regulatory guidance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan approvals, annual reviews and credit analysis for new and existing loans.
• Join customer/prospect calls and discuss creditworthiness with management.
• Conduct third-party research including industry, real estate, and market analysis.
• Prepare reports and handle special assignments.
• Assist in vendor management and departmental initiatives.
• Potential supervisory/mentorship responsibilities for junior analysts.
