Job summary

First Interstate Bank seeks a Credit Analyst III to collaborate with relationship managers in gathering and evaluating commercial credit information. You will prepare detailed analysis of financial statements, cash flow projections, and risk factors to support underwriting decisions.

The role requires high attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines, with opportunities for mentoring and growth within the credit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required.
• 7-9 years of banking experience and/or equivalent education/experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience with financial spread software required.

Responsibilities

• Reads and analyzes financial statements including tax returns, balance sheets, and P&L statements.
• Prepares financial spreads for commercial real estate and other borrowers.
• Analyzes creditworthiness of applicants and guarantors using cash flows and ratio analysis.
• Prepares comprehensive reports combining data visuals and narrative.
