Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors seeks a senior legal professional to draft, negotiate and manage a broad suite of commercial and technology contracts in a hybrid Denver environment. You will advise on data privacy, AI governance, and regulatory requirements while supporting strategic sourcing and risk management across the vendor landscape.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in good standing in an appropriate jurisdiction with post-qualification experience in commercial contracts and technology contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements including SaaS, outsourcing, fund services, data processing and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Lead negotiations on complex supplier arrangements, including ICT services and AI-related contracts.
• Provide practical legal advice on issues including liability, IP ownership, data protection and service levels.
• Advise on AI governance, data security, and regulatory considerations for third-party contracts.
• Manage trademark portfolio, renewals, and brand protection matters.
• Support alignment with GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA and privacy-by-design expectations.
• Develop legal playbooks, templates, and training materials.
• Supervise and coach Contract Managers and paralegals.
