You will advise on data privacy, AI governance, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with Information Security, Compliance and Procurement teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, contract operations, and advancing a scalable contracting function within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience in commercial contracts and technology contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements including outsourcing and data processing.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR and data privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with DORA and regulatory requirements for ICT third-party risk.
• Experience advising on AI governance, vendor diligence and model risk.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate broad ranges of vendor and technology agreements.
• Lead negotiations on high-risk supplier arrangements and outsourcing.
• Provide practical legal advice on liability, IP, data privacy and security terms.
• Develop legal playbooks, templates and training materials for contracts team.
• Supervise and coach Contract Managers and junior lawyers.
