Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) seeks a Counsel/Senior Counsel – Commercial to support the General Counsel on procurement, trade, antitrust, privacy, IP, and ESG initiatives. The role focuses on negotiating and managing contracts, policy drafting, and providing strategic legal advice across Georgia and international matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active licensure and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate transactional matters.
• Proficiency with MS Office and contract lifecycle management software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide practical legal advice in real time.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate, review, draft and advise on a wide range of contracts including purchasing and supply agreements.
• Oversee contract management systems and enforce policies and procedures.
• Provide strategic legal counsel on transactional matters under applicable laws and regulations.
• Support procurement and supply chain initiatives.
• Draft policies, conduct investigations, and train staff on transactional responsibilities.
• Research relevant legal issues and track developments; draft memoranda for leadership.
• Coordinate with other legal teams and manage litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters as needed.
• Ensure ethical compliance and protect confidential information.
