Job summary

Rescale, Inc. is seeking an experienced in-house counsel to serve as the primary point of contact for the GTM team, negotiating SaaS customer agreements, DPAs, NDAs, and other commercial contracts.

You will run deals end to end and coordinate with finance, security, product, and engineering as needed. As an early member of the legal team, you will build playbooks, automate contract workflows, and scale privacy and compliance across global deals while prioritizing speed, risk management, and

Qualifications

• JD and active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of commercial transactional experience, in-house or at a firm, with depth in SaaS and technology agreements.
• Track record of running commercial deals independently and getting to signature without hand-holding.
• Strong legal operations instincts focusing on process, templates, and automation.
• Sound business judgment and ability to frame risk for the business.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate the commercial book: SaaS customer agreements, order forms, DPAs, partner and channel agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs.
• Run deals end to end as the legal point of contact, coordinating with finance, security, product, and engineering as needed.
• Maintain standard toolkit: MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, SOWs, negotiation playbooks, and self-service paths for routine deals.
• Design and implement AI and automation workflows for contract intake, review, and drafting.
• Train GTM and cross-functional teams to embed sound legal judgment into business operations from the start.
