in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction to closeout, coordinating field and office teams to keep schedules and budgets on track. You will work with company leadership, superintendents, project engineers, subcontractors, and clients to manage day-to-day execution, review drawings and contracts, and manage changes and costs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
• Proficiency with construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
• Financial awareness including job costing, budget tracking, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects through planning, execution, and final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, milestones, and cost forecasts.
• Monitor job costs, subcontractor commitments, labor expenses, and projected costs to complete.
• Coordinate subcontractors, project engineers, superintendents, suppliers, and other project partners.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Evaluate change orders, including pricing, documentation, and coordination with the field team.
• Communicate with clients regarding project progress, schedules, costs, and proposed changes.
• Identify potential project risks, delays, and budget concerns, and take action to address them.
• Maintain clear project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, procurement updates, and meeting records.
• Coordinate with accounting on progress billings, pay applications, and project financial reconciliation.
• Support quality control, jobsite safety, and timely project closeout.
