FirstBank PR is seeking a Commercial Closing Unit Supervisor within the Commercial Credit Administration Department. The role oversees the Commercial Closing staff, ensuring timely loan closings in accordance with policy, while coordinating with Relationship Officers, Business Units and third party providers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years in a related banking role, with strong knowledge of loan documentation, BSA/AML, and OFAC requirements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years in a similar banking role.
• Knowledge of banking laws, collateral and documentation.
• Experience with commercial lending and portfolio management.
• Proven business development skills and community involvement.
• Advanced accounting and spreadsheet skills.

Responsabilidades

• Direct supervision of the Closing Officers.
• Ensure loans closing per approved workflow.
• Lead closing pipeline discussions with Officers and Business Units.
• Develop strategies to improve closing efficiency.
• Review documentation to protect the Bank’s interests.
• Coordinate with other unit supervisors for a cohesive process.
• Prepare reports on closing exceptions and track them.
• Maintain and update verification checklists and standards.
