Job summary

Heritage Federal Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Banking Operations Supervisor to streamline loan processing from application to closing for commercial and SBA loans. The role coordinates with relationship managers, departments, and members to ensure accurate, compliant documentation and timely closings.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in commercial lending or operations, strong regulatory knowledge, and experience with cash management services and digital lending platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, ratios and concepts.
• Knowledge of financial institution lending regulations.
• Knowledge of commercial lending practices and policies.
• Familiarity with cash management services: Remote Deposit Capture, ACH, and online banking for businesses.
• Five to seven years of relevant experience in commercial lending or operations.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute workflow from loan application to closing for efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with ordering appraisals, title work, environmental reports, and related docs.
• Prepare accurate, compliant closing documents for various loan types.
• Verify all loan conditions before closing.
• Ensure due diligence documents, including insurance, are provided.
• Complete final post-close review and follow up on deficiencies.
• Manage UCC liens, mortgage recordings, and assignments of rents.
• Review file assembly and digital archive updates.
• Serve as first contact for business members using digital banking.
• Support onboarding and training for ACH origination and remote deposit capture.
• Support small business lending via digital underwriting platform.
• Coordinate with underwriters and relationship managers for closings.
• Escalate complex inquiries related to commercial loans.
• Review loan documents for consistency before final approval.
• Keep up with industry trends affecting commercial lending.
