Job summary

Stifel is seeking a Commercial Banking Compliance Officer to lead second-line risk management for its bank's commercial activities. You will support the compliance program through risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and governance reporting, partnering with Legal, Risk, and Internal Audit.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in bank compliance, with CRC(M) considered a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; 5+ years in bank/commercial lending compliance preferred.
• CRC(M) certification is a plus; experience with specialized lending structures is valued.
• Strong ability to interpret regulations and implement practical controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk-based Commercial Banking Compliance framework.
• Conduct independent monitoring, testing, and risk assessments for compliance.
• Provide second-line oversight and credible challenge for lending requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory change management, issue remediation, and governance reporting.
• Deliver compliance guidance to business partners and training as needed.
