Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. in Defiance, Ohio seeks a Commercial Banking Officer to manage lending and depository relationships with middle market and large commercial clients.

You will generate new business through direct sales calls, analyze financial statements, and coordinate with CRM and credit teams to move deals forward while supporting CRA initiatives. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience, including CRE relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 3 years related experience, including management of commercial real estate relationships.
• Ability to travel for training, meetings and client visits.

Responsibilities

• Originates and manages lending and deposit relationships with middle market as well as larger commercial customers.
• Maintains and effectively manages a commercial portfolio in all respects.
• Analyzes financial statements and customer profiles to support the needs of existing and potential customers.
• Works with other bank departments, such as CRM and BBS to effectively manage the credit process.
• Works on multiple complex projects simultaneously, and successfully.
• Works closely with the Special Asset Unit in the collection of past due loans and workout of problem credits.
• Actively participates in community and civic organizations; leverages relationships to meet growth and community development goals.
• Promotes banking services to existing and prospective commercial customers.
• Assist with the coordination of CRA lending initiatives within the corporate lending department.
• Supports the bank's sales culture; originates and maintains relationships with commercial customers through direct and ongoing sales calls and referrals.
• Provide loan structures to meet customer needs and ensure documentation protect the bank.
• Originates new business opportunities through outside business development calls to centers of influence and prospective customers.
• Follows up all referrals and supports internal units with quality referrals through community relations.
• Responsible for sales management of assigned accounts.
