Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Senior Commercial Auto Underwriter to join our team. This role reports to the VP of Transportation and involves risk selection and pricing on endorsements, renewals, and new business within guidelines and authority established between MGU and various contracted carriers.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years’ experience as a Transportation Underwriter, strong P&C underwriting knowledge focused on Commercial Auto, and the ability to work remotely 100% of the

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state, multi-line commercial insurance environment.
• Strong technical P&C underwriting knowledge, specifically Commercial Auto.
• Advanced knowledge of ISO commercial class codes and CLM rules, forms, rating and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication with brokers and agents.

Responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business according to guidelines and authority.
• Underwrite lines including general liability, auto liability, physical damage, cargo and more.
• Provide customer service by responding promptly to requests for information.
• Ensure timely preparation and issuance of policies and documentation of underwriting thought process.
• Manage relationships with brokers and agents.
