Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Commercial Auto Claims professional responsible for handling property damage, liability, rental management, and other applicable coverages. You will analyze first reports, assess contract language, and develop action plans for investigations and loss analysis.

The role requires 2–4 years of Commercial Auto Claims Adjusting experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Licensure as required by state may be needed, with possible overtime during CAT events.

Qualifications

• Full knowledge of commercial insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements and insurance regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in-person and remotely.
• Inquisitive mindset for investigating, evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information.
• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple competing priorities such as claim receipt, calls, email and other information sources.

Responsibilities

• Analyze first reports and promptly contact insured/claimants.
• Evaluate contract language and identify coverage issues.
• Create an action plan for investigation and loss analysis.
• Maintain an active file diary to move file toward timely resolution.
• Establish accurate reserves within required timeframes.
• Refer appropriate files for recovery when needed.
• Adhere to internal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims.
• Manage use, work product and expenses of outside vendors.
• Evaluate claim facts and negotiate settlements.
• Develop relationships with internal and external customers.
• Serve as a resource to lesser experienced Examiners.
• Support CAT operations, including overtime, nights, and weekends.
