Qualifications

• 3+ years of Commercial Lines experience in an independent agency.
• Experience managing a commercial book (not just assisting).
• Strong understanding of coverages, carrier appetite, and placement strategy.
• Comfortable owning renewals and client-facing conversations.
• CA commercial insurance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and help build a generalist book of small to middle market commercial accounts.
• Lead renewals, remarketing, and proposal preparation.
• Analyze coverages and advise clients on risks, exposures, and coverage options.
• Market accounts to carriers and negotiate terms as needed.
• Present coverage recommendations directly to clients.
• Maintain accurate, organized documentation in the agency management system.
• Collaborate with producers, assistants, and internal teams while retaining ownership of your work.
