Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an engineer in the Combustion Design module to perform high-End FEA simulations for durability and emissions assessment of gas turbine combustors. You will collaborate with design engineers and provide root-cause analysis across engine programs.

The role requires 4+ years in mechanical engineering, experience with combustion FEA tools, and strong scripting with Python. Master’s degree is a plus, with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in practical applications.
• Minimum 4 years modeling structural, thermal and modal/harmonic analysis; CAD and pre‑processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Use simulation to conduct combustion FEA to predict combustor performance parameters.
• Support development and implementation of the combustion modeling roadmap.
• Solve combustor design problems using pre‑processing and FEA tools.
• Assist in design decisions and root cause analysis via predictive analyses.
• Execute projects using sound engineering principles and established requirements.
• Assist and/or perform component testing to validate analysis results.
