Job summary

Spencer Ogden | Colorado water resources practice seeks a senior Water Resources Engineering Leader to lead and expand the Colorado practice, focusing on water rights engineering, supply planning, client development, and technical leadership.

You will lead complex projects, build a team, cultivate long-term client relationships, and drive growth in the Colorado water community across the Rocky Mountain region.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of water resources engineering experience.
• 8+ years of experience working within the Colorado water resources market.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado water rights frameworks and administration.
• Significant experience with water supply and water rights engineering.
• Surface water and water balance modeling experience.
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development capabilities.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Expert testimony or litigation-support experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Colorado water rights and water resources engineering services.
• Develop and expand a book of business across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
• Build long-term relationships with municipalities, water providers, and other key clients.
• Lead proposals and competitive pursuits.
• Manage and develop a team of water resources professionals.
• Provide senior technical guidance and QA/QC.
• Lead complex water supply and water rights projects.
• Prepare and review technical reports, water supply assessments, water management plans, and strategic studies.
• Represent the practice with clients and external stakeholders.
