Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Code Compliance Project Manager to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Fredericksburg, VA. This senior role focuses on leading code compliance inspections, plan reviews, and complex projects for public and private clients.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of code compliance experience, with PE preferred, and a track record mentoring junior inspectors and coordinating multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of code compliance inspection or plan review.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months; Mechanical PE strongly preferred.
• DHCD & ICC certifications are strongly preferred; achieve certification within 1 year if not current.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior code compliance projects, review plans, provide technical support.
• Inspect mechanical systems and perform field reporting.
• Mentor junior inspectors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage project budgets and client communications.
