Job summary

Oorwin AI seeks a senior COBOL/COBOL-based systems specialist to lead development and maintenance of complex, mission-critical applications in a Windows-based client-server environment. You will work with business units to refine specifications, oversee L3 production support, and guide a technical software development team.

Required are 6+ years with Visual COBOL/COBOL, 10+ years in client-server Windows environments, and a Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience with Visual COBOL and/or COBOL
Experience coding and testing COBOL-based business systems in Oracle SQL databases
5+ years leading a technical software development team
10+ years of experience in Windows-based client-server environments
Experience providing Level 3 production support
Experience liaising with business units to develop and review specs and ensure delivery
10+ years of experience with system analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation techniques

Responsibilities

Lead technical software development projects and deployment planning
Collaborate with business units to develop and review functional specifications
Design, code, test, and maintain COBOL-based systems in a Windows client-server setup
