Qualifications
- 10+ years of COBOL development experience.
- Expertise with Visual COBOL and/or Micro Focus COBOL.
- Experience in Windows-based client-server environments.
- Strong Oracle SQL experience.
- Proven technical leadership and team mentoring.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specs.
- L3 production support experience.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing core business applications and modification requests.
- Lead analysis of projects and tickets; propose technical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed business specs.
- Translate requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Coordinate specification reviews and obtain business approval.
- Design, develop, code, test, and deploy solutions.
- Validate delivered solutions against requirements.
- Provide Level 3 production support for critical apps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Coordinate development activities and deployments.
