Job summary

TM Floyd is seeking a Senior COBOL Developer/Technical Lead to design, develop, test, and support mission-critical Phoenix core business systems using Visual/Micro Focus COBOL and Oracle SQL. You will lead development teams and coordinate with business stakeholders to define technical requirements in a Windows client-server environment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in COBOL with Visual COBOL, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record delivering complex systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years Visual and/or Micro Focus COBOL.
• 10+ years developing and maintaining complex Windows client-server applications.
• 10+ years coding/testing COBOL with Oracle SQL.
• 5+ years leading technical software development teams.
• 5+ years providing Level 3 production support.
• 5+ years working with business units to develop and review technical specifications.
• 10+ years in systems analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.

Leads development teams, provides Level 3 production support, works with business stakeholders on technical requirements, and drives solutions through the full SDLC in a Windows client-server environment.

• No Subcontractors / C2C / H1B candidates
• Must be local to Columbia, SC

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years Visual and/or Micro Focus COBOL
• Working knowledge of Visual COBOL V9
• 10+ years developing and maintaining complex, mission-critical Windows client-server applications
• 10+ years coding/testing complex COBOL business systems with Oracle SQL
• 5+ years leading technical software development teams
• 5+ years providing Level 3 production support
• 5+ years working directly with business units to develop and review business and technical specifications
• 10+ years in systems analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

Preferred:

• Oracle 19+ SQL
• Government agency experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Visual COBOL technical certification
