Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a COBOL Programmer with 8+ years of experience to support the AMS Edit Book Update process. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires the ability to obtain a USPS Public Trust clearance.

Ideal candidates will code, test, and research existing processes to meet project timelines. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, creating documentation, and collaborating with PMs, SMEs, and multimedia specialists to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Public Trust clearance is required or must be able to obtain.
• 8+ years of COBOL experience with DB2.
• Experience with Code promotion tooling and change management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and determine strategic solutions.
• Prepare documentation and data mappings for developers and testers.
• Collaborate with PMs, SMEs, and multimedia specialists.
• Convert materials and maintain courseware aligned with objectives.
• Lead project tasks within a unit and assist with incident response in ServiceNow.
