Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead and manage large software engineering projects within the CNS product line from its Deer Valley, AZ location on a hybrid schedule.

The role requires guiding teams, delivering on project scope, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and applying formal project management processes to aviation safety products across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum 8 years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems in the Aerospace industry

Responsibilities

• Lead proposals, statements of work and cost estimates.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules and resource forecasting.
• Monitor progress with Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Lead risk management to identify and mitigate risks affecting delivery.
• Control scope growth through baseline change management.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for updates and issue resolution.
