Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Principal Project Engineer in Deer Valley, AZ to lead large hardware programs in the CNS weather radar product line. You will define scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans while coordinating with cross-functional teams globally.

The role requires strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, with experience in FAA/EASA avionics and a willingness to travel. Hybrid work is offered at the Deer Valley location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 8+ years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems.
• PMP or Gold EVMS certification preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware engineering projects in the weather radar product line.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and resource forecasting.
• Monitor progress using EVM metrics and manage budgets.
• Mentor engineers and drive process improvements.
• Coordinate with customers and program manager as technical contact.
• Manage risk and baseline changes.
