Job summary

Eaton’s Aerospace Division in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Complex Machining Technician for the first shift (7am–3pm). The role focuses on CNC machine setup, program edits and collaboration with engineers to implement new processes.

You will read complex drawings, set up tooling, perform part changeovers and help drive 5S and other lean activities while ensuring safety and quality standards at the Charleston plant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 6 years CNC machine setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information and U.S. person status.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must reside in the immediate area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, document and train others in current and/or new processes for the department.
• Serve as first line escalation and follow leader standard work.
• Support department lean activities including 5S audits and process checks.
• Collaborate with Engineer and Programmer on changes, updates and testing of new machines.
• Read machine programs and perform edits under engineering guidance.
• Set up tools in machine locations and perform part changeovers.
• Train and cross-train other employees in machine operations.
