Job description

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking an Apprentice - CNC Machining 1st Shift at our Charleston, SC facility. This is a first shift apprenticeship, with at least 15 hours per week required. The hourly rate for this position is $19 per hour.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

• Work with experienced CNC Machinists to learn the skills required to machine and perform necessary quality checks on high precision parts for Aerospace applications.
• Load and unload CNC machines including mills and lathes.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specification and internal drawings and procedures.
• Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Perform quality checks using air gages, plug gauges, microhites and traces.
• Understand and execute various safety processes and requirements.
• Use 5S+ to ensure a safe and efficient work area.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in manufacturing/mechatronics classes or acceptance in an apprenticeship program.
• Ability to work at least 15 hours per week.

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of North Charleston, SC (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information.
