Job summary

Eaton’s Aerospace Division is seeking a Complex Machining Technician for the North Charleston, SC plant. The role is first shift (7am–3pm) with responsibilities spanning tool setup, program edits, and machine troubleshooting in a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates have a minimum of 6 years CNC setup experience, an HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read complex engineering drawings. A technical degree and leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 6 years CNC machine setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates within the immediate geographical area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and perform changeovers for department tooling and programming.
• Read, interpret, and edit machine programs under engineering guidance.
• Troubleshoot and correct machine, process, and tooling issues to keep production running.
• Support lean initiatives including 5S audits and process improvements; assist in CIF/kaizen activities.
• Cross-train team members and assist in training new operators.
