Job summary

Atlas Magnetics, Inc. in California is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and run production machines for precision components used in aerospace and defense applications.

You will review drawings, GD&T, and CAD models, develop tool paths, maintain setups, and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001. Strong problem-solving and teamwork required. Experience with Mastercam/SolidWorks and multiple control systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience with setup and programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Experience with precision close-tolerance parts (.0002 in.).
• Proficiency with Mastercam, SolidWorks or similar CAM/CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs from drawings and CAD models.
• Set up machines, tools, fixturing, and offsets for production.
• Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce aluminum and steel parts.
• Ensure AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance and document inspection results.
• Maintain tooling, process documentation, and pursue continuous improvement.
