Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal CNC Programmer in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on programming and machining large-scale precision components with multi-axis CNC centers, requiring GD&T expertise and strong collaboration with engineers.

The candidate will develop, validate, and optimize NC programs, review drawings, and lead process improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years of experience
• Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing blueprints and process plans
• Experience creating/editing CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship

Responsabilidades

• Create/edit CNC programs for large-scale, high-precision components
• Review technical data packages and CAD models for fabrication
• Develop and optimize machining processes, setups, and fixturing
• Select tooling for job-specific applications based on material and tolerances
• Validate programs using simulations and dry runs
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production to drive improvements
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet schedule and performance goals
• Occasional travel for training or equipment qualification (<10%)
