Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience developing CNC programs for multi-axis machines in aerospace
• Deep knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM (Mastercam, Gibbs CAM) software
• Expert ability to interpret complex drawings and GD&T symbols, and understanding G-code/M-code

Responsibilities

• Program development for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling and mill-turn machines using CAM software.
• Create toolpaths with Mastercam, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Analyze CAD models and blueprints to optimize machining sequences and work-holding strategies.
• Design fixtures and jigs in CAD for aerospace components during machining.
• Conduct machine simulations to verify toolpaths before production.
• Continuously refine programs to reduce cycle times and improve tool life.
• Document setup sheets and tool lists; provide shop floor support and mentoring.
