Job summary

Knight Aerospace Products, Inc. seeks a skilled Machinist III to produce aerospace components with precision. You will program, set up, and operate HAAS and manual machines, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

The role requires extensive machining experience, strong math and GD&T knowledge, and the ability to read drawings and revisions. This is a full-time on-site position in a safe, collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.
10+ years machining experience, or 4+ years in aerospace machining.
Strong math, blueprint reading and GD&T skills.

Responsibilities

Create CNC programs from engineering data using Mastercam 2025 software.
Secure raw materials, install cutting tools, and set proper offsets, feeds and speeds.
Set up, load and operate HAAS CNC machines such as vertical mills and routers.
Set up, load and operate manual mills, lathes and surface grinders.
Guarantee part accuracy within 0.0001 to 0.001 inches, accounting for tool deflection and thermal expansion.
Inspect finished products using micrometers and calipers.
Read revisions on drawings, specifications, and materials.
Identify materials and their properties related to machining.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep the work area safe and clean.
Maintain documentation such as work orders and parts tags.
Write and optimize machine code (G code, M code) or use CAD/CAM programs to define complex geometries.
