Job summary

Precise Metal Products, LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. You will create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, using CAD/CAM software and reading engineering drawings and GD&T.

The role involves selecting tooling and cutting parameters, proving out programs, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve processes and efficiency in aerospace components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience; aerospace experience preferred.
• Proficient CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or similar materials.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, models, and customer specifications.
• Select tooling, work holding, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.
• Prove out programs and adjust ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient production.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
• Improve programs to reduce cycle time, extend tool life, and increase productivity.
• Support new product introduction, first article activities, and process documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues and continuously improve processes.
