Job summary

MTech Aerospace in California, MD is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and run 3-axis and 5-axis machines for aerospace components from prototypes through production. The role requires strong knowledge of machining practices, materials, and mathematics to fabricate high-precision parts.

You will work with Okuma OSP-300MA controls and Siemens NX software, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to maintaining AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CNC programming and machining experience.
• Proficient in 3- and/or 5-axis programming, setup and operation for precision aerospace components.
• Able to interpret complex drawings and GD&T; meet QA standards.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines from solid models and drawings.
• Adhere to health, safety, quality and environmental rules.
• Maintain housekeeping per 6S standards.
• Apply knowledge of machining tools, speeds, feeds, coolant, and cutting tools.
• Interpret GD&T per part drawings and ensure tolerances.
• Operate and maintain milling machines, lathes, and related equipment.
• Provide input to design engineers for prototype parts.
