Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering in Maryland is seeking an experienced machinist to set up, operate, and maintain a wide range of CNC equipment onsite, including lathes, mills, 3-axis and 5-axis machines, to produce precise parts for defense and aerospace programs.

You will read blueprints, adjust speeds and feeds, select tooling, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues. A strong emphasis on safety, quality (AS9100/ISO 9000), and 5S housekeeping is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining and reading blueprints.
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances to +/-0.0001.
• Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9000 quality standards.
• Safety-focused with PPE and lockout/tagout knowledge.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain machining equipment onsite.
• Read blueprints and specs to determine tolerances and setup.
• Select fixtures, tooling, and inserts as needed.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust programs for accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers and production to resolve issues.
• Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping in work areas.
