Job summary

Axillon Aerospace in Baltimore, MD seeks a Programmer/Machinist to perform semi-repetitive specialized machine operations, reading complex blueprints, and creating CNC programs for lathe and mill. You will work autonomously with precision and contribute to engineering prototypes.

The role requires 10+ years of precision machining experience, 5+ years CNC programming, MasterCam (3+ years) and Vericut; aerospace experience is preferred. Strong GD&T and tooling skills are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Minimum 10 years of precision machining experience.
CNC programming: 5+ years; MasterCam: 3+ years.
Vericut experience a plus; 5-axis programming preferred.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, alter or repair complex parts from complex blueprints or verbal ideas with high tolerance requirements.
Design and fabricate tooling/fixtures for complex operations using metals and materials.
Plan and perform machining on CNC lathe and mill to create efficient processes.
Create and maintain CNC programming for Lathe and Mill machines.
Create set-up instructions for Lathes and Mills and troubleshoot issues with machinists.
Collaborate with QA and engineers on prototypes and inspection processes.
Work with engineers on prototypes and ensure GD&T compliance.
