Job summary

Axillon Aerospace in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Programmer/Machinist to work under limited supervision in an autonomous, precision machining environment. You will fabricate, modify, and repair complex parts from detailed blueprints, design tooling, program CNC lathe and mill machines, and collaborate with QA and engineering to ensure strict tolerances are met.

Required: 10+ years precision machining, 5+ years CNC programming with MasterCam/Catia, and GD&T proficiency; aerospace

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 10 years of precision machining experience.
• CNC programming: 5+ years; MasterCam: 3+ years; 5-axis programming preferred.
• Vericut experience is a plus.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, alter or repair complex parts from detailed blueprints with tight tolerances.
• Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures for complex operations; apply GD&T.
• Plan and perform machining on lathe and mill, including CNC programming.
• Collaborate with QA and engineers to validate setup and machining processes.
• Provide setup instructions and guidance to other operators; troubleshoot issues.
