TPI Staffing is seeking a CNC Programmer for a first-shift, temp-to-hire position in North Houston (77073). Pay ranges from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. Shift starts at 6am and ends around 2:30pm, depending on production needs.

The role requires writing and generating CNC programs with EDGECAM, selecting tooling, reading technical drawings, and collaborating with sales to quote new jobs. Strong problem-solving, organization, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience.
• EDGECAM experience preferred.
• SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, ADP Lyric, and ERP systems.
• Organized, self-directed, thorough, attention to detail.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Write and generate CNC programs according to routing instructions using EDGECAM software.
• Select appropriate metal-cutting tooling for each job and verify and maintain programs using verification software.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow oral and written instructions
• Respond promptly to programming requests and select the best metal cutting tooling for each job
• Verify and maintain CNC programs using verification software per the established standards
• Troubleshoot machining nonconformances that are caused by the CNC program
• Work with tooling vendors to understand, test, and implement the latest cutting tool technology
• When needed, be able to quote new jobs when requested by the sales department.
