Job summary

Openwork in Houston is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a day shift opportunity in the Hobby Airport area. The ideal candidate will have Haas mills and lathes experience with GibbsCam programming considered a plus.

Overtime opportunities are available, and pay starts at $30+ per hour depending on experience. You will be responsible for complete setups, reading blueprints, and programming from CAD models.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience working from CAD models.
GibbsCam experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

Perform complete set-ups and operate CNC mills and lathes (HAAS experience preferred).
Program machines from blueprints and technical models (GibbsCam experience preferred).
Utilize tool probes and make machine adjustments as needed.
Machine and inspect rotating parts, split parts, and bearings.
Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.
