Aerotek seeks a highly skilled CNC Programmer in Fairfield, CA to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers. You will collaborate with Machinists, Engineering, and Quality to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and ensure world-class product quality.

The role requires hands-on programming experience, Mastercam expertise, and a track record in 3-, 4-, and 5-axis production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Mastercam programming experience required.
• Strong experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, workholding, cutting parameters, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Create machining strategies for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers.
• Program and support horizontal machining centers, including pallet-changing systems.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, GD&T requirements.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and feeds/speeds to maximize efficiency.
• Simulate and validate programs prior to release to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.
• Support first article inspections, new product introductions, and process validations.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
