Job summary

Toray Advanced Composites in Fairfield, CA is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer III to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for complex precision components. You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, and machinists to ensure safe, efficient production to customer specs.

The role requires Mastercam proficiency and 8+ years of CNC programming experience on multi-axis centers, including DMG machines.

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred in Manufacturing Technology, Machining Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years of CNC programming experience in precision manufacturing.
Mastercam CAD/CAM software proficiency required.
Experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC centers; DMG pallet changer preferred.
SolidWorks, Catia or Creo experience preferred.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC centers including DMG pallet changer.
Interpret drawings, GD&T, CAD models, and specs for production.
Develop machining strategies to maximize productivity and tool life.
Select cutting tools, fixtures, and feeds/speeds; verify toolpaths for collisions.
Support first article, prove-out, and process validation of new programs.
Troubleshoot issues and revise programs to improve cycle time and quality.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Eng, Production, Quality, and Operators on improvements.
Maintain documentation, revision control, and setup sheets; support Lean initiatives.
