Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Machinist Technician for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and conventional machining centers to produce precision components with tight tolerances. The role supports production by interpreting drawings, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment to uphold quality and efficiency.

Strong mentoring abilities are valued. The ideal candidate has extensive machining experience, can work independently, and contribute to continuous improvement within a shift structure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining in a high-technology environment.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC and conventional centers.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Perform complex setups and precision machining.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and surface plates.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate conventional and CNC centers.
• Perform complex machining with close tolerances.
• Operate multiple machines with productivity and quality.
• Develop processes with limited documentation and tooling input.
• Interpret drawings and assist with tooling selection.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
