Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled machinist/operator to read engineering CAD drawings and operate CNC machinery, lathes, mills, and related equipment. You will set up machines, perform adjustments and maintenance while ensuring parts meet tight tolerances using gauges and fixtures.

Strong adherence to safety and quality procedures is essential. The role emphasizes reading and applying geometric tolerancing, using calipers and micrometers, and complying with 9/80 overtime

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow instructions including Engineering and CAD drawings.
• Clear knowledge and understanding of the application of geometric tolerance symbols.
• Comfortable working with measurement equipment i.e. calipers, ID/OD, micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC-based machinery and various machines (lathes, drills, mills, routers, grinders, punches).
• Set up machines, make adjustments, and perform maintenance.
• Check work with gauges, jigs, and fixtures to ensure close tolerances.
• Adhere to safety requirements and PPE protocols.
