Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, producing components for spaceflight hardware. The role requires experience with multi-axis CNC, UG/Mastercam programming, and GD&T knowledge, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The position is based on Florida’s Space Coast, with shifts including C and D shifts; relocation is provided. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Understand and apply GD&T accurately.
• Operate CNC mills/lathe including multi-axis setups.
• Set up and align holding fixtures and tooling.
• Read CNC code and adjust programs.
• Load and verify programs; run first part safely.
• Maintain safety and quality compliance.
• MRP data entry for parts and labor.

Responsibilities

• Performs CNC machining safely and efficiently.
• Reads blueprints and tolerances; verifies with measuring tools.
• Operates CNC lathe/mill and 5-axis machines.
• Sets up fixtures, tools, and work holding devices.
• Loads, verifies, and modifies CNC programs as needed.
• Monitors speeds/feeds for optimal cutting.
• Keeps work area clean; performs routine maintenance.
• Tracks parts and labor in MRP system.
• Complies with all quality, safety, and company policies.
