Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring a Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, producing components for spaceflight vehicles on Florida’s Space Coast. The role focuses on machining parts per print for multiple spaceflight programs, requiring strong GD&T knowledge, blueprint reading, and experience with UG/Mastercam programming.

Relocation is provided. Shifts include C and D shifts for weekend coverage. The team works under a culture of safety and quality across all Blue Origin facilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe experience.
• 2+ years on multi-axis CNC machines.
• 2+ years programming with UG or Mastercam.
• GD&T knowledge and ability to read blueprints.
• High school diploma or GED with trade school degree or 10 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC controlled machines safely.
• Read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
• Use precision tools and measuring devices to meet tolerances.
• Operate CNC lathe, mills, including 5-axis machines.
• Load programs, adjust speeds/feeds, verify first parts.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.
