Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer to join its Engineering group at Lake Forest, CA. This on-site role focuses on analyzing technology trends, designing and modifying manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include developing procedures, troubleshooting manufacturing and design issues, evaluating cost and feasibility, and supervising contractors while maintaining budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of MasterCam 2022 or later.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation and quality control.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements and continuous improvement are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized technical tasks and research to optimize project outcomes.
• Design new processes and modify existing ones to improve efficiency.
• Evaluate and resolve issues related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering.
• Develop test procedures, estimate costs, and plan and execute projects while managing budgets and supervising contractors.
• Establish engineering standards and budgetary controls.
• Introduce new or modified equipment, tools, software, and systems.
• Collaborate to assess engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness and customer demand.
• Make informed decisions within the scope of assigned tasks.
• Maintain attention to detail, communication, and task management.
