Job summary

EXALTA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to develop, write and maintain programs for milling and setup of CNC machines to deliver quality parts per prints. You will interpret drawings, GD&T and tooling specs, select proper tools, and optimize processes for safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC setup and advanced operation.
  • 2+ years CAM programming experience.
  • Proficient in G and M code language and offline programming.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, engineering models, and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment and tooling.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, CMM, vision systems).
  • Experience in ISO 13485 and FDA documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write and maintain CNC machine programs to perform various machining processes.
  • Study drawings, GD&T, materials and specs to determine machining methods and sequences.
  • Select proper cutting tools and tooling standards; develop setup sheets.
  • Optimize programs and processes to ensure safety, quality and minimal scrap.
  • Communicate with manufacturing, engineering and production to exchange technical information.
