Job summary

Rocket Lab in Maryland seeks an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to maintain, set up, program, and operate large CNC machines for flight-ready components. You will work on carbon fiber parts for the Neutron program and develop fixtures to optimize production.

The role requires 8+ years of CNC milling experience, 5-axis programming, Mastercam proficiency, and GD&T knowledge within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 8+ years of CNC Milling experience.
• Experience programming and operating a 5 Axis CNC.
• Familiar with MasterCAM and reading technical drawings.
• Deep GD&T knowledge and machine maintenance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Operate large CNC machines to produce carbon fiber components for Neutron.
• Program toolpaths using Mastercam for safe, efficient operations.
• Machine tooling to support production of large molds and tools.
• Design fixtures and tooling to enable machining.
• Read CAD drawings and translate models for manufacturing.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and productivity.
