Job summary

SicoSyndicate in Riverton, UT is hiring a Production Machinist for the Week Nights shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Mon-Thu). The role focuses on resolving production abnormalities, maintaining CNC skills, and collaborating with programming for optimization.

You will troubleshoot NC code, verify new programs, and contribute to tool-path and process improvements. The position requires 3 years of machining experience, physical ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 3 years of machining experience or related field.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Working knowledge of Machine Monitoring Applications (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of programming principles (preferred).
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create standard work procedures and update processes as problems are identified and eliminated.
• Maintain operator level 3 skill status on all production CNC's.
• Ability to troubleshoot NC code on all production machines.
• Proof new programs, fixtures and setups before handoff to normal production.
• Provide programming suggestions to improve stability, delivery, tool path alignment, etc.
• Manage production TPM intervals to prevent breakdowns, long cycle times, or rework.
• Comply with safe work practices; understand injury procedures, workers' comp, and OSHA standards.
• Solve tooling issues by evaluating tooling productivity and performance, and assess new tooling requirements.
• Understand SPC principles such as Cp and Cpk and maintain a process-capable environment for operators.
• Discuss potential rework strategies that may be deployed.
• Collect accurate process metrics through new product introduction and process improvements.
• Schedule flexibility as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
